Focus & Scope
Societas Dei: Journal of Religion and Society is devoted to the study and discourse of research ideas and findings that have a Reformed perspective among scholars focusing on public theology and social ethics reflecting Indonesia's multi-religious and multi-cultural characteristics. The scope covers the following:
- Theology: Critical-reflective studies on the concepts of the divine and spiritual experiences of the people of faith as testified in sacred texts, history of religions, religious doctrines, divinity studies, and local traditions of virtues.
- Social ethics: Critical theological studies of moral values and excellence that are upheld or influential in public sectors (politics, business, art, technology, education).
- Religious community: This study focuses on the moral and spiritual dimensions of daily life practised in particular religious communities.
- Interfaith encounters: This aspect explores data regarding interactions between individuals or communities from different beliefs or faith traditions.
